Seniors-for-Seniors Foster Program

A wonderful way for seniors to enjoy the love and warmth of a furry companion while giving senior pets the security of a home environment

Companionship and Care

Our 'Seniors for Seniors' program is a wonderful way for seniors to enjoy the love and warmth of a furry companion while also giving senior pets the security of a home environment.

Note: This is a foster program, not adoption. PAWS retains ownership and covers medical expenses.

About the Program

The program matches people 60 and over in the Creston area with older pets. These matches usually work out well because older pets are trained, calmer, and quieter than younger animals, so they better fit the lifestyle of an older person.

Senior pets are often overlooked because of their age or medical conditions that may need special care. Growing old presents its challenges to both humans and our four-legged friends. So matching these pets with older adults that have room in their heart and their home, but may not have all the means to adopt is a win-win for all!

What to Expect From Us
